The security level determines how finely a document is cut — and therefore how much effort any reconstruction would take. As a guide to which level fits which protection need:
The common level for everyday confidential documents. Each sheet is cross-cut into many small sections — considerably safer than simple strip-cut.
Suitable for: offices, practices and law firms that shred correspondence, invoices and documents with personal data every day.
Finer micro-cut for documents with a higher protection need. The particles are considerably smaller than at P-4, making reconstruction correspondingly harder.
Suitable for: HR and finance departments, research & development, and sensitive trade secrets.
The finest particle size. The 1×1 mm micro-cut turns a single A4 sheet into thousands of particles — reconstruction is considered practically impossible.
Suitable for: information requiring the strictest secrecy and environments with the most demanding internal confidentiality rules.
Micro-cut P-5 and P-7 for the highest confidentiality needs — where strip-cut or standard cross-cut is not enough.
Powerful P-4 and P-5 machines for daily operation: high sheet capacity, long run time and auto-feed for entire departments.
Every machine is clearly assigned a level to DIN 66399 — P-4, P-5 or P-7. You choose by protection need, not by marketing.
Long run times up to 60 minutes and auto-feed up to 200 sheets: designed for real document volumes, not just a few sheets at a time.

P-4 covers most confidential office documents. For personnel, finance and secrecy-critical files, P-5 is recommended; for the highest requirements, P-7 with 1×1 mm micro-cut.
Cross-cut (P-4) divides the sheet into many sections. Micro-cut (P-5/P-7) produces much finer particles — the finer the cut, the higher the security level.
On the 200-sheet model you place the stack in the tray, close the lid and start — the machine feeds sheet by sheet on its own and shreds unattended.
